A Thousand Blows is a new series from the creators of Peaky Blinders and will be available to stream on Disney+ from 21st February 2025.
The show tells the story of Hezekiah (Malachi Kirby) and Alec (Francis Lovehall); two best friends from Jamaica who arrive into the violent melting pot of Victorian London’s East End. It also stars Stephen Graham as Sugar Goodson, a notorious veteran boxer, and Erin Doherty as Mary Carr, leader of an all-female gang.
We facilitated a number of shoots in Hounslow for the production, including a key scene of an explosion on Church Street. See if you can spot it in the trailer below (at around 01:24), then compare the end result it with our behind-the-scenes sneak peak further down!
Elsewhere in the borough, the crew spent a lot of time of Dan Mason Drive to get clear shots across the Thames whilst filming on the water or over on the opposite bank.
