BLACK DOVES

Netflix is pulling out all the stops this festive season with the release of Black Doves. The series stars Keira Knightley, Ben Whishaw, and Sarah Lancashire, and follows the story of an undercover spy named Helen (Knightley). Despite the series name deriving from a pub in creator Joe Barton’s town of Brighton, the production shot all over London and has been called an “ode” to the city.

With that in mind, we of course facilitated a huge number of shoots across the capital. To name a few; you can spot Camden’s Wicklow Street in the trailer, where the production filmed a high stakes stunt on a stairwell. In Southwark, Tanner Street provided a backdrop for the heroes staking out gangster’s hideout. A scene involving a shooting range was shot at Hounslow’s Boston Manor Park, in Bromley the hero house was located on Tudor Road, and in Waltham Forest the town hall served as the office of Helen’s husband – the Secretary of State for Defence.

With thanks to the Location Management Team and our Council stakeholders for allowing London to shine on the small screen in a uniquely snowy and action-packed way.
